How EasyEstimate Works
EASYESTIMATE connects to an external database (via ODBC) for
parts, work centers, and their associated standard costs. It calculates the price for each
bill of resource line item based on the margin, markup, or target price. Then EASYESTIMATE rolls-up and displays the total cost, price, and margin for the
estimate. You can use "costbooks" provided by suppliers, instead of relying only
on historical cost build-ups.
EASYESTIMATE also
allows you to examine the cost implications of a variety of "what if" scenarios.
It allows users to re-cost an estimate with one
keystroke by looking up costs in a user-defined cost database. When used with the
PRICEMASTER module, EASYESTIMATE updates item costs according to quantity
breakpoints. EASYESTIMATE will also support "virtual" bill of resource items.
