PowerLock is a security framework for the SMARTQUOTE and EASYESTIMATE modules, which allows you to customize how these software modules behave based on who is using the system.

PowerLock is for companies that need to restrict access to sensitive data in SMARTQUOTE and EASYESTIMATE, and it is also ideal for companies that want to simplify program options by removing access to unused software features and functions for certain users.

PowerLock gives you the ability to hide or lock sensitive data, such as cost, margin or commission figures. This allows you to prevent certain users from modifying (or viewing) such sensitive information.

For example, you could restrict users from applying discounts, overriding system-generated pricing, or modifying markup or margin percentages.

PowerLock comes with "templates" for user groups and security profiles, which are typical of the restrictions many SMARTQUOTE users want to implement. These profiles can then be modified to reflect the unique requirements of each company or sales organization.

You set up user groups (such as Sales, Shipping or Marketing) to control their access to various "objects" (data, applications, even individual functions within modules). You define "roles", which can be layered to fine-tune these access restrictions.

Enforces procedure and policy. PowerLock lets you safeguard valuable proprietary information (such as item masters and prices) by preventing unauthorized users from changing it. PowerLock lets you protect your investment in customer account data (addresses, contacts, etc) against inadvertent "erasure".

Locks out competition. PowerLock helps you keep proprietary data and methods from becoming "public domain", by restricting access to SMARTQUOTE and EASYESTIMATE after a person leaves your company.
